Top Series I Want To Read in 2016

Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon
Outlander (Outlander, #1)Dragonfly In Amber (Outlander, #2)Voyager (Outlander, #3)
Drums Of Autumn (Outlander, #4)The Fiery Cross (Outlander, #5)A Breath Of Snow And Ashes (Outlander, #6)
I have been really wanting to start reading this series for months now after hearing so many rave reviews about the first book. 2015 was the year I read the A Song of Ice and Fire series and I didn’t want to start another huge series. But I’m all caught up with that series now so hopefully 2016 will be the year that I tackle the epic Outlander series! I also desperately want to watch the TV show so that’s even more incentive to read the first book at least!
I only own the first six books currently because the remaining books have not been released in the beautiful matching covers shown here yet. Hopefully they will be soon!

Anne of Green Gables series by L.M. Montgomery
Anne of Green Gables (Anne of Green Gables, #1)Anne of Avonlea (Anne of Green Gables, #2)Anne of the Island (Anne of Green Gables, #3)
Anne of Windy Poplars (Anne of Green Gables, #4)Anne's House of Dreams (Anne of Green Gables, #5)Anne of Ingleside (Anne of Green Gables, #6)
This is a children’s classic series that I never read as a kid. I have heard great things about this series on Booktube for several months now and have really been wanting to read it but I pushed myself to put it off and focus on finishing some other series first. Those series have been completed now and I am so excited to start this series!
Again, I own the first six books in the covers shown but the remaining two books were not released in matching covers. It’s extremely annoying that my series won’t match but I just couldn’t resist getting those gorgeous covers.

Oz series by L. Frank Baum
The Wizard of Oz 15 Book Collection
The Wizard of Oz is one of my favourite movies. I have seen it numerous times but have never read any of the books. I bought the entire 15 book collection in 2015 and they have just been sitting on my shelves since. It is about time I read this series and I’m determined that 2016 is the year that it will happen!

Hush Hush series by Becca Fitzpatrick
Hush, Hush (Hush, Hush, #1)Crescendo (Hush, Hush, #2)Silence (Hush, Hush, #3)Finale (Hush, Hush, #4)
I was so proud of the fact that in 2015 I managed to read the books that had been on my TBR for years. With those books now amongst my read books, this series now takes the place of the books that have been sitting unread for the longest so I’d love to get this series off my TBR in 2016.

Delirium trilogy by Lauren Oliver
Delirium (Delirium, #1)Pandemonium (Delirium, #2)Requiem (Delirium, #3)
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a dystopian series that was new to me and not just a re-read. This series doesn’t always get the greatest reviews so I’ve kind of been putting off reading this trilogy. I definitely need to read it this year because knowing me, if I don’t read it soon, I will probably keep putting it off until it’s been sitting on the shelf for another year.

Percy Jackson and the Heroes of Olympus by Rick Riordan
The Lost Hero (The Heroes of Olympus, #1)The Son of Neptune (The Heroes of Olympus, #2)The Mark of Athena (The Heroes of Olympus, #3)The House of Hades (The Heroes of Olympus, #4)The Blood of Olympus (The Heroes of Olympus, #5)
I read the entire Percy Jackson and the Olympians series in 2015 and absolutely loved it. I really wanted to continue on with this next series but I couldn’t find the books at a decent price. By the time I finally did buy the books I had moved on and was reading other books. I would love to get back into these books and get caught up in 2016, especially with the books in the Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard series coming out and the upcoming Trials of Apollo series.

SERIES I WANT TO RE-READ

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (Harry Potter, #1)Harry Potter and the Chamber of SecretsHarry Potter and the Prisoner of AzkabanHarry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the PhoenixHarry Potter and the Half-Blood PrinceHarry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
Of course this series would have to be on the list. It is without a doubt my all time favourite series ever and I actually purchased a couple of the different box sets that I had been wanting in 2015 (because I am obsessed and possibly slightly insane) so I am excited to read one from of my new editions with the pretty pretty covers!

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare
City of Bones (The Mortal Instruments, #1)City of Ashes (The Mortal Instruments, #2)City of Glass (The Mortal Instruments, #3)
City of Fallen Angels (The Mortal Instruments, #4)City of Lost Souls (The Mortal Instruments, #5)City of Heavenly Fire (The Mortal Instruments, #6)
I read this entire series for the first time in 2015 and while it did take a few books for me to get into the series, I ended up loving it and it became one of my favourite series (along with The Infernal Devices). I am so looking forward to reading these books again now with the background and knowledge that I gained from reading The Infernal Devices.
I want to re-read at least the first book in anticipation of the Shadowhunters TV show that will be airing in 2016. I would also love to be able to complete a re-read of all six books in preparation for Lady Midnight, the first book in the Dark Artifices series which is being released in March this year! So excited!

Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan
The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #1)The Sea of Monsters (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #2)The Titan's Curse (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #3)The Battle of the Labyrinth (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #4)The Last Olympian (Percy Jackson and the Olympians, #5)
I also read this series for the first time last year and loved it. As mentioned above, I want to read the Heroes of Olympus series but I don’t think I can do so without first re-reading this series to remember everything that happened.

The Summer I Turned Pretty trilogy by Jenny Han
The Summer I Turned Pretty (Summer, #1)It's Not Summer Without You (Summer, #2)We'll Always Have Summer (Summer, #3)
I first read these books over a year ago and at the time I just completely devoured them. I read the entire trilogy in 24 hours because I could not put the books down. There’s just something special about Jenny Han’s writing. This series were the first books I ever read by her and it made her one of my auto-buy authors. I have been wanting to re-read this series for a while now and hopefully it can happen in 2016.
