Jen's 2015 Reading & Bookish Resolutions JUNE Update

It's been a few months since my last update so I thought it was about time for another one.
(Click here for my 2015 reading and bookish resolutions list with explanations)
(Click here for my March resolutions update)

Goodreads 2015 reading challenge I surpassed 100 books and increased my goal to 150 and since I am well on track to reaching that target I decided that I would aim for 200 books.

Read 50 books that are at least 200 pages in length  I definitely passed my goal of 50 (currently at 76/50 at the end of June) and I debated whether to increase it and I ended up deciding to make the goal 100 books.

Read all TBR Jodi Picoult books   Unfortunately I have neglected this goal for the past few months because I just wasn't in the mood for reading one of her books. I currently have 4 Jodi Picoult books on my TBR list and I am definitely hoping to read at least one a month from this point on.

Complete at least 10 series/trilogies   I have completed this goal and there is still quite a bit of the year left, so I have decided to increase this to 15 series or trilogies. (I also did not specify this at the start of the year, but I am only counting new series and not including re-reads.)

Series completed in 2015 (12 so far)
Legend trilogy by Marie Lu
Losing It series by Cora Carmack
The Wolves of Mercy Falls by Maggie Stiefvater
Wake (or Dreamcatcher) trilogy by Lisa McMann
Ruby Red (or Precious Stone) trilogy by Kerstin Gier
Matched trilogy by Ally Condie
Hex Hall trilogy by Rachel Hawkins
Slated trilogy by Teri Terry
The Books of Pellinor series by Alison Croggon
The Infernal Devices trilogy by Cassandra Clare
Percy Jackson and the Olympians series by Rick Riordan
The Testing trilogy by Joelle Charbonneau

Read at least 1 classic  This one is completed! Although it was only a children's book (Tuck Everlasting by Natalie Babbit) it still counts!

Start and finish all Cassandra Clare books   Having read 6/11 of the Cassandra Clare books I own, I am still on track to finishing this goal by the end of the year. The books still unread are the last three in The Mortal Instruments series, The Bane Chronicles and The Shadowhunter's Codex.

Get TBR pile down to at least 50 books   Due to my ridiculous and uncontrolled book buying in the past few months, I am failing miserably at this goal. In fact, I no longer think that this is even achievable since my current TBR pile has exploded to over 120 books. At this point in time, I will be happy if I can get my TBR down to at least 100 books at the end of the year.

Read more unread books than I buy each month   As with the goal above, my outrageous book buying has made this goal impossible. I felt that this goal was also putting unnecessary pressure on myself to read, so I will no longer be including this as a goal for the second half of the year. Instead, I will just focus on reading to decrease my TBR pile.

July 2015 TBR

Jen
The Annotated Brothers Grimm: The Bicentennial Edition edited by Maria Tatar
The Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
A Storm of Swords Part 1: Steel and Snow by George R.R. Martin
Don't Look Back by Jennifer L. Armentrout
City of Fallen Angels by Cassandra Clare (Depending on how I feel after this book, I may continue on with the remaining books in the series)
The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin (I would like to at least start this series even if I don't get to finish all three books within the month)
Outlander by Diana Gabaldon (I would also like to at least start this book but it will depend on whether I am in the mood for it and also on how I am going with the other books I want to read this month)

Mel
Percy Jackson and the Titan's Curse by Rick Riordan
Heir of Fire by Sarah J Maas
Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard (I know, I know, this has been on my TBR forever...)
A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Maas
Harry Potter - Magical Places From the Films: Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and Beyond by Jody Revenson

Since Clockwork Angel is a reread, I've put it on the backburner for now and instead I'm going to read a book already on the backburner that I have not already finished:
Doctor Who - The Silent Stars Go By by Dan Abnett (features the 11th Doctor, because he's my fave!)

Mel's June Book Haul

Percy Jackson by Rick Riordan boxset. This was a bargain buy. AU$24! The individual books were AU$12 each!
End of Days by Susan EE. Now I need the first two in the series.
Troll Mountain by Matthew Reilly
Very Good Lives by JK Rowling
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella
Harry Potter: Magical Places From the Films by Jody Revenson
