July 2018 TBR

Jen

At the time of making this TBR I’m feeling kind of in a contemporary mood. There’s quite a few that I’ve been wanting to get to for ages so I’ll see how many I can get through while this mood lasts! However I also really want to be finishing or at least making progress on the multiple series that I’m currently reading (while resisting the temptation to start new series!). Who knows, maybe I’ll end up reading books that aren’t even on this TBR since I have a tendency to do that.

Currently reading
The Raven Boys (The Raven Cycle #1) by Maggie Stiefvater
The Serpent’s Shadow (Kane Chronicles #3) by Rick Riordan
Hopeless (#1) by Colleen Hoover
I started this book a year ago, put it down and never picked it back up. It’s absolutely ridiculous and since I’m kind of in a contemporary mood, I really need to just finish it already!

Series to continue
Of Neptune (Syrena Legacy #3) by Anna Banks
Through the Ever Night (Under the Never Sky #2) by Veronica Rossi
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (#5) by J.K. Rowling
Breaking the Rules (Pushing the Limits #1.5) by Katie McGarry

Books I want to read
The Undomestic Goddess by Sophie Kinsella
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz
American Panda by Gloria Chao
When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon
I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maureen Goo

Mel
Since I didn't get around to finishing as many books last month as I expected, I'll be carrying over last month's TBR.

Want to finish
Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff
Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

Want to continue
House of Cards by sugamins
Everless by Sara Holland

Want to start
The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green
Whisper by Lynette Noni
Furyborn by Calire Legrand
Found by Fleur Ferris

Mel's April & May 2018 Book Haul

April
I got a moderate amount of books in April, But there's definitely a few here that I'm excited to read!

Obsidio by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff - As I have just finished rereading the first two books in the Illuminae Files, I really want to see how this series ends!
Reflection by Elizabeth Lim - This is a twisted version of Mulan. I have other books in the collection (not really a series? *shrug*) so I wanted this one too. It's probably the one I want to read most though.
Hero at the Fall by Alwyn Hamilton - The final book in another trilogy! I'll be rereading the first one before I get to this and book 2 though.
The Queen's Rising by Rebecca Ross - This was one that I picked up in store and decided it sounded interesting.
The Hazel Wood by Melissa Albert - Another book I just picked up on a whim.
This Mortal Coil by Emily Suvada - I hadn't really looked into this before I bought it, I'd just seen it a lot online and decided to give it a go.
Scythe by Neal Schusterman - I've been seeing this a lot on booktube, but the synopsis of the story is actually interesting to me, so I picked it up.

May
Not too many books this month, mostly because I didn't see many that I thought couldn't wait until later.

Ash Princess by Laura Sebastian - I don't know much about this book, but I enetered a givaway on Twitter and won! But it does sound really interesting, so I can't wait to read it.
LIFEL1K3 by Jay Kristoff - I've heard a lot about this book, and this author is an auto buy for me.
Whisper by Lynette Noni - I had only seen this a few times on Twitter, but hadn't heard much about it. I read the synopsis and thought it sounded really good.
The Smoke Thieves by Sally Green - I actually just fell in love with the pretty cover! However, the story does sound quite interesting.
Furyborn by Claire Legrand - I hadn't heard of this book before I saw it in the store, but picked it up after I read the synopsis. It sounds just like my kind of fantasy!
