I
really don’t know how my reading is going to go this month. What I do know is
that my working hours will increase, which is super annoying.
So
this is once again a very ambitious list, especially considering the size of
most of these books! I know that I likely won’t get to all these but the end of
the year is fast approaching and I really want to get to as many as I can.
Throne
of Glass series by Sarah J. Maas
Tower
of Dawn (#6) - currently reading
Kingdom
of Ash (#7)
So
my series re-read pretty much slowed right down after Queen of Shadows and it
took me a long time to get through Empire of Storms. But I’ve just finished it
and started Tower of Dawn! With all the hype surrounding the newly-released
Kingdom of Ash I’m dying to get to that book! I can’t wait to see how this
series ends and hopefully manage to avoid spoilers!
The
Dark Artifices trilogy by Cassandra Clare
Lady
Midnight (#1)
Lord
of Shadows (#2)
Queen
of Air and Darkness (#3)
The
year long wait for the third and final book in this trilogy has been torture,
especially with how Lord of Shadows ended. I would love to re-read the first
two books to be fully prepared for the final book. This series may be my
favourite of all the Shadowhunter Chronicles and I’m so excited!
Pushing
the Limits by Katie McGarry
Dare You To (#2) - currently reading
Crash Into You (#3)
Take Me On (#4)
Chasing Impossible (#5)
I started this series way back in
March when I read the first book and loved it. But then for some reason I just
couldn’t bring myself to pick up the next book. It wasn’t until months later that
I picked up the (very long) novella following the first book but I also loved
it. I really can’t understand why I keep putting off reading the sequels but it
has to happen soon because there isn’t much time left in the year!
The
Night Angel trilogy by Brent Weeks - currently reading
The
Way of Shadows (#1)
Shadow’s
Edge (#2)
Beyond
the Shadows (#3)
This
series has been on my radar for a long time now and one day I was in the mood
for an adult epic fantasy so I dove into this one. I bought the huge bind up of
all 3 novels and I’ve barely made a dent in it. I haven’t had a lot of time to
devote to this but I really liked what little I’ve read of it so far so I’d
love to finish at least The Way of Shadows by the end of the year.
Hidden
Bodies by Caroline Kepnes
I
read You a couple of months ago right before the TV adaptation started airing.
I don’t like to have unfinished series so I’d really like to get to this soon.
However this is probably the lowest priority for me.

I'm keeping my TBR small again. I've been in such a slump this year that it's been super hard to motivate myself to read. I keep starting a book, reading a chapter or two, not feeling it and moving onto something else. I've chosen a few smaller books this month, and if I don't finish at least one of them, I'm going to kick myself.
The Turn of the Screw by Henry James
The Call of the Wild by Jack London
The Time Machine by HG Wells
A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens
Jek/Hyde by Amy Ross
PS, I Still Love You by Jenny Han (audiobook)
