February 2018 TBR

Jen
This is the shortest month of the year and yet my TBR is still way too long because there’s so many books that I want to read and I can’t narrow it down! I’ve been feeling like February is the month for contemporary reads so there are a few stand alones that I’m hoping to get to. I’d also like to finish up or at least continue a couple of series that I started in January.

Love, Hate and other Filters by Samira Ahmed
The Hating Game by Sally Thorne
Hello, Goodbye and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith
On The Fence by Kasie West
Open Road Summer by Emery Lord
Something in Between by Melissa de la Cruz
Without Merit by Colleen Hoover
If There’s No Tomorrow by Jennifer L. Armentrout
Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys
The Handmaid’s Tale by Margaret Atwood
Pride & Prejudice by Jane Austen
Zenith (The Androma Saga #1) by Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings
Gathering Blue (The Giver #2) & Messenger (#3) by Lois Lowry
Splendour (Luxe #4) by Anna Godbersen
Hallowed (Unearthly #2) by Cynthia Hand
Head Over Heels (Geek Girl #5) by Holly Smale
Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by J.K. Rowling (It's time for another series reread!)

Mel
As I didn't get to the books I wanted to read last month, I really need to catch up! I also don't want to be overambitious, so this is still quite a short list.

Fruits Basket Collector's Editions by Natsuki Takaya - as many as I can fit into the month/as many as I'm in the mood for reading.
Unearthed by Amie Kaufman and Meagan Spooner - I've heard a lot of good things about this book, so I want to get a start on it at least.
Bones Never Lie by Kathy Reichs - I read the first few chapters of this on the drive home from shopping, so I want to continue.
Harry Potter: A History of Magic by JK Rowling and the British Library (I have no idea how to credit this book! Lol.) - This is a February purchase, and I'm excited to get stuck into it!

Mel's January 2018 Book Haul

I'm going to get back into monthly book hauls again. The three month hauls were good, but also had an annoying con: by the time I get to the end of the third month, I don't remember which books I bought in the first month, and often confused them with the previous quarter of the year. So keeping track monthly is definitely the way to go. I don't know if I'll start photographing them again though. That takes a lot of time and I don't really have the space to set all my gear up anymore. Alas, here's the first haul of 2018!

Cecelia Ahern:
The Marble Collector
The Year I Met You
How to Fall in Love

Kathy Reichs:
Speaking in Bones
Bones Never Lie

I bought all of these for a total of $25! Always check the $5 table in Big W!

This list is deceiving! I actually read a lot this month, just not in book format - I read 36+ hours of subtitles. Those damn addictive Asian dramas! (If anyone's interested, I recommend watching Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth and Strong Girl Bong-soon. I'd watch them again in a heartbeat!) But I certainly didn't feel like reading much and this is probably why. TV shows aside, I did read a few chapters in various books, but only managed to finish one.
